Brown F.I.S.H
If you love the Roots you are going to hate Brown F.I.S.H.! Truth is; there hasn’t been a heavy live-music buzz coming from Baltimore in a long time. Remember, that in the 50’s and 60’s Baltimore's Pennsylvania Avenue was the Mecca of Black music. Sadly, its popularity slowly died down throughout the years as B-More fell into the hands of the streets with the rise of the heroin epidemic. Now with a few pushes on the chest and a couple of mouth to mouths the once great city has been resuscitated. And who’s initiating Baltimore’s revitalization??? Baltimore’s own “Movement through Music", Brown F.I.S.H. a socially conscious hip-hop/reggae/soul band: Universal (formerly known as OOH), Jahiti (King of the Poor People), Judah, and Nikeita Crichlow.Deal with it, 2008 is the year of the F.I.S.H. Universal, Jahiti, and the Brown F.I.S.H. crew have spent 02’ thru 07’ running the college radio airwaves and performing everywhere from Jamaica to Canada. Beyond the commercial success of "F.I.S.H. Bowl", the F.I.S.H. rule the streets with their immensely popular compilations, "The Bootleg Album", "Bootleg 2" and "Bootleg 3" With the band gearing up to release "Separation of Church and State", (the first Brown F.I.S.H. album) the F.I.S.H. are set to unleash a flurry of new street anthems and the first national single "Afrika" featuring legendary reggae artist, Ras Pidow (RIP).
